Diamondback Tactical Secures Contract
Spindale, NC — A local protective armor manufacturer will soon be outfitting members of the FBI.
Spindale-based Diamondback Tactical recently secured an exclusive, five-year contract with the government agency.
On Sept. 27, the company beat out several national competitors to become the FBI’s lone supplier of body armor and protective attire.
“Diamondback’s state-of-the-art armor system is optimized for the demanding performance and functional requirements of the FBI and its agents, and we look forward to demonstrating our superior capabilities throughout the length of this five-year contract,” Mike Runella, Director for Specialty Programs and Contracts, explained in an announcement from the company.
As of this writing, the monetary value of the contract is unknown. It is also unknown if Diamondback will increase its work force to accommodate the new contract.
