Ameridial, Inc. Plans Expansion in Spindale

Spindale, NC - The Rutherford County Economic Development Commission is pleased to announce that Ameridial, Inc. proposes to expand their call center operations in Spindale, NC. This expansion will result in new investment of approximately $1,270,000 which includes the acquisition of an existing building and additional equipment necessary for the expanded operations. In addition, the project will result in the retention of 160 existing positions and the commitment to create 100 new jobs within the growing call center over the next two years.
 
Ameridial, founded in 1987, is a privately held company headquartered in North Canton, Ohio. The company employs more than 800 service and sales professionals at nine centers located in Ohio, Maine and North Carolina. Ameridial offers a variety of contact center solutions for both large and mid-size clients, with a focus on the health insurance industry. Ameridial first announced their decision to locate a call center operation in Rutherford County in October 2011 with a commitment to create 50 jobs. This announcement marks the second expansion of their call center operations in Spindale. Mark Schmidt, President of Ameridial stated, “We are very excited to be expanding in Spindale again, this has been a great area of growth for us. The people here have been great and their strong work ethic and superior customer service is what really made us decide to expand in this location.” He also went on to say, “We are also grateful to Rutherford County and the NC Department of Commerce for their financial assistance and continued support as we expand and grow in the community.”

This existing industry expansion project was made possible, in part, by a North Carolina Department of Commerce Building Reuse Grant in the amount of $290,000 awarded to Rutherford County. Rutherford County will provide the required 5% match for this grant. Hiring for Ameridial, Inc. will be handled through the Division of Workforce Solutions located in Forest City. Open positions will be posted as they become available.

Rutherford County has a population of 67,810 and is centrally located between Charlotte, NC, Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC.
