FOREST CITY, NC – Over the last few weeks Census forms were mailed to most of Rutherford County.  However, if you have a PO Box you will not receive a form.  You will need to call (toll free) 1-866-872-6868 and request that a form be mailed to you.  This is very important as many residents in Rutherford County use post office boxes for their mailing address.

As of April 15th our participation rate (number of households who have returned their Census form) is at 71%.  In the 2000 Census our total participation rate was only 64%.  We are doing a great job for Rutherford County!  Please encourage your friends, family and co-workers to fill our their census form and mail it back right away.  It only takes 10 minutes to answer 10 questions and it will help Rutherford County for the next 10 years!
