ICC Offers Certification Courses
|
|
Core Craft Curriculum and Introductory Craft Skills Program Get a national certification through the National Center for Construction Education and Research through Isothermal Community College. Classes begin February 2nd and run for 12 weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00 pm. Curriculum includes eight basic areas in safety, construction math, hand tools, power tools, blueprints, rigging, communication skills and employability skills. Students will also have the option of getting additional certifications in specialized areas such as welding, electrical or pipe fitting. Career Readiness Certification This certification is being conducted in the Life Long Learning Center Building in Room 208. The CRC is an additional credential that can be placed on a resume to show training beyond a high school diploma or post secondary education. Interested participants can contact Doris Crute at 286-3636 ext. 344. Funding may be available for both of these programs.
