Workforce Training Resources and Programs
A wide range of training services are available to Existing Industry. Programs are offered locally through Isothermal Planning and Development (Regional Workforce Development Board), Isothermal Community College and the NC Employment Security Commission. Existing Industry e-Newsletter
A monthly e-newsletter is distributed to local industry. To view the current month's e-newsletter, click here. The newsletter contains current workshops, seminars and resources that are targeted for existing industry. Also, one existing industry is profiled each month to help educate other companies in the county on what products and services they offer. An RSS Feed is also availble in order to automatically receive the e-newsletter.
Rutherford HealthPlan provides solutions to help employers meet the needs of their employees. The ideal target company size for this plan are those with 25-50 employees. The Rutherford HealthPlan is a partnership between Rutherford Hospital, the Physicians Alliance of Rutherford County, and local employer groups. The Rutherford HealthPlan understands the difficulties faced by those seeking a health plan that meets their specific needs. Through coordination of physician and hospital services, they are able to provide care at a lower cost than many health plans. Local health care providers are active participants in strategies to contain the cost of health services. In addition, they make every effort to reduce administrative costs yet still provide a satisfactory level of customer service to meet all members' needs.

Throughout the course of the year, the Economic Development Commission plans several events to interact and network with Existing Industry. Several events include:

- Existing Industry Team Visits (personal visits to companies with representatives from Economic Development, Rutherford County Government, Isothermal Community College, Rutherford County Schools, NC Employment Security Commission, NC Dept of Commerce and Regional Workforce Development)
